LSAT on Demand

Education Web App

This on-demand product delivers a modern, intuitive learning experience that allows students to access course materials anytime, complete real-time assessments, and review detailed explanations that support mastery. The web application is fully optimized for mobile, enabling students to learn seamlessly across devices.

Challenges

The original product was not designed around student needs. Navigation was confusing, the interface felt dated, and common tasks required unnecessary effort. As a result, students frequently contacted support for help, and the underlying system struggled to scale as demand increased.

My Role

Led user research to identify the most significant friction points in the student experience
Partnered closely with subject matter experts to understand what drives effective learning
Led the design and delivery of the new experience, which was rolled out across all on-demand programs
Helped reduce support center call volume, enabling the business to scale without increasing support staffing

Outcome

The product received strong ratings from students, who described the experience as empowering and efficient for on-demand learning. Clear guidance and detailed assessments helped students track their progress with confidence and stay engaged throughout the course.
Operationally, the redesigned experience reduced the volume of support center calls, allowing the business to scale without increasing support staffing. Based on this success, the experience was rolled out across all on-demand products.

Closing Thought

This project demonstrated how thoughtful, student-centered design can drive both learning outcomes and business efficiency. By focusing on clarity, usability, and scalability, we created an experience that supported independent learning while reducing operational strain. It reinforced my belief that well-designed education products must serve learners first, while quietly enabling organizations to grow sustainably behind the scenes.
